Top twenty design books

Those clever people over at SMAPLY have put together an interesting list of ‘top twenty design books‘. I don’t agree with all their choices (where’s ‘Don’t Make Me Think’ by Steve Krug, for example?) but there are some crackers and some absolute classics here…

Good to see the list includes Victor Papanek’s inspirational Design for the Real World, which despite its age, remains so relevant today. Many of the books on this list explore the ethics of design and posit possible ways forward based on a more sustainable future. Time to get reading…
